My name is SaDee and I have decided to go Gluten Free. I have thought about going gluten free for months now and I am starting today. I have had constant 'tummy issues' for years now and thought gluten might be my problem. After looking more into gluten, there are many more reasons for going gluten-free than just my stomach problems. Something very important to understand about gluten free is that it is NOT Grain Free. It is simply eliminating the grains with gluten in them. As far as I understand, gluten will disrupt the gut, wether you have celiac disease or not, when it is over eaten. I am starting a 3 week gluten free diet to see how I feel. Now, I am a very religious person, so when I used to hear gluten free or carb free, I automatically think NO! Grains are supposed to be the base of our diet! BUT gluten free is not grain free. I found this particular website interesting: http://wellnessmama.com/2359/does-the-bible-say-we-should-eat-grains/ . I hope this blog is helpful for others trying to go gluten free. (Who knows - I might be the only person that looks at it!)
